Is it just your decision?  If not, who else needs to be involved?  Make sure everyone who needs to be is as on board as you are.Is it the right time? What else is going on in your life?  Are you going to have the time to commit fully to your new pack member?  Are you prepared to train a puppy?If something needs to give, what is it going to be?  Are you ready to get up earlier to take your dog for a walk?  Or will you sacrifice something else in your routine?Do you live in the  City? Countryside?  House with a garden?  Flat? Your environment will become your dog's environment so you'll need to choose one that will fit in with your surroundings.What's your energy level?  Choose a dog that matches your natural state.     Exciting news…. we’ve just found out that we are at the top of the list to adopt a boxer who was abandoned and found wandering before being sent to the pound and then on to Home Counties Boxer Rescue – we’re off to see him on 22nd August. Keep your paws crossed for us…..

    Adoption update…. we took Dexter to meet Neil at the weekend but unfortunately, it didn’t go brilliantly. Neither dogs’ fault, just might not be compatible. We’re going to wait a bit (Neil is due to have an op soon) and then try again if he hasn’t already found his forever home by then… We’ll keep you posted!
