Description

Dogs can get anxious and stressed. Some common triggers are loud noises such as traffic or fireworks or separation/social anxiety. Rescue dogs or those that have been poorly treated are generally more nervous/anxious or have behavioural issues. Working dogs (those who compete in agility, flyball or gaming sports) can also feel the pressure and may get anxious before a competition or not travel well in the lead up to an event. Certain breeds are simply more sensitive by nature.

Whatever the cause, Calm & Collected will help reduce anxiety and keep your dog calm, without drowsiness.

Calm & Collected is a premium 100% natural holistic superfood supplement that will help your dog to keep calm and relaxed. Used by behaviourists it helps to reduce anxiety and aid focus and concentration when training or competing. The 8 high strength active herbs in this blend are Skullcap, Withania, Chamomile, Astragalus, Gotu Kola, Ginger, Turmeric and Liquorice. These are natural calming herbs that are powerful and effective and won't cause drowsiness. Some of the herbs also aid recovery and give extra support of the bones, joints and circulation which help after competing. Flaxseed oil also helps to maintain the overall good health of the heart, digestive, immune and reproductive systems and balance metabolism. The active ingredients provide nutritional support.

Calm & Collected contains 4 adaptogenic herbs which are a unique class that help to balance, restore and protect the body both physically and emotionally. (for more information see the 'adaptogenic herbs' section of this website). The herbs in this formula have been selected by a holistic vet for maximum efficacy. Visible health benefits can be seen in as little as 7 days in some dogs.

Feed once daily or every other day depending on the level of support required. Shake well before every use and store in the fridge to maintain freshness.

Available in 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre.

Ideal for dogs who are nervous by nature, have separation anxiety, phobias, dislike loud noises such as fireworks or traffic, have difficulty socialising or for working dogs so those who compete in agility, flyball or gun sports. Suitable for all breeds.

Feeding guide

Use our food calculator for a guide on how much to feed your dog.

Feed as part of a balanced diet. Adult dogs should consume 2-3% of their ideal body weight per day and Just Tripe can form a portion of this. Every working dog is different. Adjust portions accordingly. Wash your hands, utensils and surfaces after handling any raw meat.

To give you an idea of portion size, Dexter is an adult male Boxer, weighing 26kgs. We feed him 500gr per day which is a tiny bit under 2% but it works for him as he does have some treats during the day as well. On the other hand, Maisie is a 2 year old female Boxer, weighing 22 kgs and we feed her the same as Dexter. This is because she is a high energy girl who never walks if she can run, so she needs a bit more food every day. So, use the above percentages as a guide and adjust for your dog, afterall, no-one knows them like you do.

Will my order arrive in one go?

Dogs About Town seeks out smaller, niche suppliers to bring you a collection of doggy goodies that's a little bit different from the norm. Because of this, when you order, you might choose goods from several different suppliers and that will mean that your order won't arrive in one package. For example, if you buy a lounge bed, nose-it toy and a chill pad, you'll be supporting 3 different small manufacturers and you'll receive 3 packages. Now, we know, this might seem a bit odd at first, but we hope you'll agree that it's worth it to find something just that little bit different and be able to support some of the smaller but beautifully formed suppliers and manufacturers.

A Quick Word About Packaging:

The world's resources are precious, so whenever we can, we like to reuse packaging that we get sent. Things like those polystyrene chips, shredded paper or bubble wrap. We also try to choose the most environmentally cardboard boxes we can and this means that sometimes, you'll get a box that looks too big for it's contents. But rest assured, we've done our homework and picked the best option we can, plus any packing that we use to fill the box is likely to be on its second use. Phew.

Your dog’s yummy raw food will arrive frozen and will be sent straight to your door by courier – no more lugging heavy sacks or tins back from the shops, yey!

Between Monday – Thursday, if you order before 1pm, your food will arrive the next day. Orders placed after 1pm on Thursday and before 1pm on Monday will arrive on the Tuesday.

If you are not going to be in when your order arrives, please let us know where we can leave it. It is packed so that it will stay frozen for some time after delivery so just make sure you pop it straight in the freezer when you get home.

The minimum order is 6kgs which is about 1 freezer basket full in an average freezer and approximately 2 weeks worth of food for a 20kgs dog. If you’re not sure how much to order, call us free on 0800 644 4662, or use our Portions Calculator.
